The new terminal (2026)
On 16 February 2026 the first phase of the new terminal — the domestic and international departure halls — went into service, and the old building closed. Aircraft parking stands increased from five to nine. When every phase is complete, annual capacity is planned to rise from about 700,000 to 2 million passengers. Further phases, including new arrival halls, were still under way during 2026, so you may notice building work.
Finding your way
The terminal is compact: check-in, security and gates are a short walk apart, and the arrivals exit leads straight to the kerb, where the taxi rank, the shuttle and transfer drivers wait. Car-hire desks are in the terminal, and open-air parking is in front of the building.
Expect the basics of a regional airport — cafés, toilets and seating — rather than large shopping areas. Choice can be limited late at night, so carry a snack if you are on the last flight.
